Speak to an expert

The first of two CTA bands — a heading, a line of copy and a button.

Content type

CTA Band

What makes it this section
Which band it is = the FIRST CTA Band in the list

The two CTA bands on this page are told apart by their position in the template's Sections list, not by a field. Drag them past each other and they swap places on the page.

What a visitor sees

On the websiteLIVE
A cream call-to-action band with an eyebrow, a heading, a line of copy and a button.

What each field controls

The Field column is the label as it appears in Contentful; under it, the field's id, for talking to a developer. The number matches the marker on the screenshots above.

The button.

A link to a reusable Link / CTA entry. On this band the colour and style set on that entry ARE used.

10

Also show a 'Call us' number

callUsPhone
The "Or call us" line beside the button.

A link to a Text value entry, so the same number is used everywhere and changed in one place.

Other entries this section needs

Link / CTAThe button. On the template this is "Speak to an expert", jumping to the booking configurator further down the page.

How to change it, step by step

  1. Understand what you are about to change

This band is part of the SHARED hotel template. Editing it changes the same band on every hotel page on the site. If you only want it different on one hotel, use the last step instead.

  2. Find the entry

Search Contentful for "Hotel template — talk to an expert" and open it. You can also reach it from the "Hotel detail — shared template" Page entry, which lists every band in page order.

  3. Change what you need

Edit the fields listed above. Contentful saves as you type, but saving is not publishing.

  4. Publish this entry

Change status → Publish, top right. Until you do, hotel pages keep showing the previous published version.

  5. Check a hotel page

Open any hotel page and find the band. Changes appear within about 30 seconds. If nothing changed, an unpublished entry is nearly always the reason — /api/debug-fallbacks lists anything that fell back to built-in content.

  6. If you wanted it on ONE hotel only

Undo your change here, then open that hotel's Accommodation entry, add a band of the same kind to its Sections list and author it there. A band on the hotel's own record overrides the template's for that hotel and leaves the other 1,800-odd untouched.
