Sticky price bar

The bar that follows you down the page with a price, a phone number and two buttons.

The entry you edit

The sales phone number (Text value)

Where the content really comes from

TravelBox for the price; the CMS for the phone number

What a visitor sees

On the websiteLIVE
The sticky price bar: a per-person price, a total, a heart, an “Or call us” number, an ENQUIRE button and a PRICES & AVAILABILITY button.
One authored field on the whole bar: the phone number.
  1. 1

The sales number — a Text value entry

  2. 2

    The price — live

  3. 3

    The buttons — built in

What each field controls

The Field column is the label as it appears in Contentful; under it, the field's id, for talking to a developer. The number matches the marker on the screenshots above.

#FieldWhat it controlsNotes
1

The number itself

value
The phone number in the bar.

A Text value entry, so the same number is used everywhere on the site and changed in one place. Changing it here changes it on every page that links the same entry.

2

The price

Nothing you can set.

It comes from the reservation system at the moment the page renders, for the dates and party the visitor has chosen.

3

The two buttons

Nothing you can set.

Their wording is built in, and they jump to bands further down the page — the speak-to-an-expert band and the booking configurator — so their destinations follow those bands rather than being typed in.

How to change it, step by step

  1. Find the Text value entry

Search Contentful for the sales phone number as a Text value entry and open it.

  2. Change it, then publish

Change status → Publish. Remember it is shared: check the other pages that show a number.
