Hotel — page section

HotelDetail_Body_Overview_001

What this is used for

One body section of a hotel or trip page. "Kind" decides which band it is — including "Trip hero", which is not a band at all but the wording of the hero at the very top of a trip page.

How you use it

A block that makes up part of a page. Create the entry, then add it to a page's list of sections. The same section entry can be added to more than one page.

Eyebrow (small title above)

eyebrow
Short text

Small label above the heading. On a "hero" section this is the uppercase destination line over the trip title, e.g. "Maldives" — it is capitalised by the page, so type it normally.

Kind

kind

Short text

Set this first — it decides which band on the page this section fills. "hero" is the exception: it is not a band, it is the wording of the hero at the top of a trip page (the destination line, the big title and the sentence under it).

Heading

heading
required
Short text

The section's title. On a "hero" section this is the big trip title itself, e.g. "Luxury Honeymoon to the Maldives". Its size and colour are set by the design and are not authored here.

Introduction

introduction
Long text

Introductory paragraph under the heading. On a "hero" section this is the single line under the trip title, e.g. "The vows are done. Paradise awaits." — keep it to one sentence; the design gives it one line.

Good to know (facts)

goodToKnow
Structured data

Overview only. The good-to-know row under the prose — the illustration + caption + value strip. Paste a JSON array, one object per fact: [{"icon": "included", "label": "What's included", "value": "Flights, baggage, & private transfers"}] · "icon" picks the illustration and must be one of: included, flight-time, transfer-time, setting (leave it out and the caption is used to guess — an unrecognised value simply shows no illustration). · "label" is the small caption, "value" the bold line under it; a fact missing either one is dropped. · Filling this in REPLACES the row the hotel record supplies from ePIM, and takes precedence over the Why-Kuoni band below. Leave empty to keep the ePIM row.

Why-Kuoni band

usps
One linked entry

Overview only. Optional reassurance band shown under the best-for tags — the same "Why holiday the Kuoni way?" strip as the homepage. Link a Content rail whose Source is "Icon items"; you can point at the homepage's own band to reuse it exactly, or author a hotel-specific one. The rail's heading, eyebrow, introduction and "Maximum cards" cap are all used. Leave empty for no band. · NOTE: this rail ALSO stands in for the good-to-know facts row when "Good to know (facts)" above is empty, so a section that wants a band and a different facts row should fill in that field.

The small parts this section is built from, in order. On “Fine-tune your getaway”: an Icon item of kind “expertCallout” is the Speak-to-an-expert strip, Content cards of kind “linkCard” are the promotional callouts under it, and Icon items of kind “checklistItem” are the Good-to-know lines. Parts a band does not use are ignored.
